ALBANY, N.Y. (08/12/2025) Today, the New York State Board of Elections joins its fellow election officials across the country in celebrating National Poll Worker Recruitment Day. National Poll Worker Recruitment Day was established in 2020 by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) to raise awareness about the important work that poll workers do to ensure that elections run smoothly and securely, as well as to encourage more Americans to serve their communities in this role.
