(09/16/2025) The New York State Board of Elections is proud to join with the state’s County Boards of Elections and election officials across the country today in celebrating National Voter Registration Day. Founded in 2012, National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday dedicated to celebrating democracy and reminding Americans to register to vote in advance of upcoming elections. On this day, the State Board of Elections reaffirms its commitment to making the registration process accessible, secure, and simple for all New Yorkers.

ALBANY, N.Y. (08/12/2025) Today, the New York State Board of Elections joins its fellow election officials across the country in celebrating National Poll Worker Recruitment Day. National Poll Worker Recruitment Day was established in 2020 by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) to raise awareness about the important work that poll workers do to ensure that elections run smoothly and securely, as well as to encourage more Americans to serve their communities in this role.
